Modeling with Geometry
Geometry makes an excellent math class for middle and high school students, but that's not its only purpose. (Students might want to replace "excellent" with a different adjective, but we stand by our decision.) Students can—and should—apply geometry to real life.
These standards aren't as strict about formulas and proofs, and encourage students to use geometry as it was originally meant to be used: to relate to the world around us.
