Acquisition Indigestion

See Acquisition Financing.

So you bought that chain of 40 pizza parlors. The founders took your cash and split to the Caymans (no taxes). And very oddly, suddenly the revenues of that 40-unit pizza chain, instead of continuing to grow 8 percent a year, declined 12 percent in Year One, and then more in Year Two. Turned out the founders were beloved icons in the cities they served, from Little League love to the Bail Bondsmen brethren. With their love now given to beaches and dolphins and Titleist, you are suffering Acquisition Indigestion from having "eaten them," and now wishing you'd either never bought this thing, or had paid a lot less for it.

Yes, it's a slang term, and has nothing to do with the quality of pizza served, but you still feel bad. Maybe time will Pepto this thing.
