Active Box

When securities were held in physical form...literally pieces of paper...there was an active box where they were kept, usually to be legally cleared by an army of lawyers, such that they functioned as collateral for margin loans for loved clients. Today, most securities are a digital/virtual thing, and kind of live in the ether, while performing the same financial function.
