The all-purpose financial statement is actually a group of documents, each one detailing part of a company's performance. Think of the statement as a packet of information meant to detail a company's health. The information included is of a relatively general nature, usually meant for groups like investors or lenders.
Several components generally make up the all-purpose financial statement:
1. Balance Sheet
2. Statement of Cash Flows
3. Income Statement
4. Statement of shareholder equity
Other items might show up as well, including things like auditors' reports and any disclosure statements.
