The code name for IBM. Why? Because the logo is blue. Yep. That's pretty much it. Oh, and IBM salespeople through the 50s, 60s, and 70s all wore dark blue suits and a tie when they came a-knockin' on your door.
Trivia note: IBM is the inspiration for HAL in the cult film 2001. Note that H-A-L is one letter earlier than I-B-M. HAL was Big Red.
