A way of sorting checks for a bank.

Marge was never good at math or counting, so when she got a job working in a bank branch, she was understandably nervous.

Luckily, she didn’t need to know how to count since, rather than sorting checking in order of account number, she was able to use a bulk filing system, and just process them based on date.
