If a business is just starting up, they're going to have to raise capital (usually money) to open their doors. If you want to apply for a loan, banks will look at your capital (among other things) to decide whether they should give you a loan or laugh you (politely) out of their office.

Commodities well generally keep up with the spike in prices
causing the fed raised rates in the first place So
they're a good hedge for most investment portfolios And not
