Equity Curve

It's the shape of the trailing history of how a given equity investment has performed.

Chartists use this graph to determine shapes and swirls and adumbrations that then divine whether or not it's a technical sign to "sell, Mortimer, sell!" the equities they own.

Not to be confused with an equity curveball, which a chartist might throw if you're crowding the plate.
