The International Organization of Securities Commissions, or the IOSCO, is an international cooperative of security regulatory agencies. The member states of the IOSCO work together in a group to set regulation standards, which makes international trading markets more efficient.
There are over two hundred members, which are divided into three types: affiliate members, associate members, and ordinary members, and which have different qualifications and voting rights in the IOSCO.
The IOSCO have conferences year-round at different locations around the world (though it’s admin is in Madrid). Since IOSCO covers more than 90% of the world’s markets, it’s the undisputed leader in stock exchange standards.
