This line is a lyric from the song of the same name, originally written and sung by Dolly Parton (on her album Jolene, 1974) and famously covered by Whitney Houston (on The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album, 1992).

The world was different in 1992. Stalkers didn't have cellphones or the Internet. Movie soundtracks were sold on cassette tape. And Kevin Costner was a desirable movie star. 

Whitney Houston covered Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" for her film, The Bodyguard. It was the song of 1992, and Whitney was pretty much the only one who could hit that note.

So who will these ladies always love? Their exes. No hard feelings because they hope "life treats [him] kind" and...they will always love him. It almost makes breaking up more romantic than getting together.
