This line is spoken by Charlie in the book The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky (1999).

We've all had moments that seem to stretch on forever…and ever…and ever. Usually, this happens when we're waiting for a root canal, or taking a flight home for Thanksgiving, or sitting through the trailer for a new Adam Sandler movie. (Sorry, Adam.)

But in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Charlie, the titular wallflower, has one of those infinite moments at a good time. Driving through a tunnel with two new friends, lonely Charlie experiences true friendship for the first time. It's a feeling that will last for his entire lifetime.

Or at least until the book ends.
