Context
This line is written by Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:19.
Paul's sort of getting amped up here. He feels like the Corinthians are dropping the ball, so he starts to act the fool to try and convince them that they're being idiots, because apparently the Corinthians take advice a bit better from fools.
Where you've heard it
This one seems to come up when someone doesn't suffer fools. "Better put away the clown shoes, Reginald! Emperor Muesli isn't one to suffer fools."
Pretentious Factor
If you were to drop this quote at a dinner party, would you get an in-unison "awww" or would everyone roll their eyes and never invite you back? Here it is, on a scale of 1-10.
Fine to use, especially in company that suffers fools gladly.
