Character Analysis
The Twentieth Century Motor Factory is one of the book's ongoing mysteries and a sort of microcosm of the country as a whole. The downfall of the Factory, like that of the country, was caused by bad values and ideas, featured a whole series of heroes and villains, and ended in disaster. It's no mistake that the incidents at the Factory served as the catalyst for Galt's strike. The factory itself housed great promise (Galt's motor) and great evil (in the form of its terrible policies), which are represented in the various people connected with it.
