Character Analysis
Ginger Nut doesn't have much of a role here – at twelve years old, he's the youngest member of the office by far, and he doesn't do too much beyond basic errands, even though he's supposed to be learning about the practice of law (this study doesn't seem to be going anywhere). His most significant duty is running around town getting snacks for the other clerks; he's named after ginger nut cakes, the spicy, cheap cookies that he brings back for Turkey, Nippers, and Bartleby.
