Jack Napier/Joker (Jack Nicholson)’s Timeline and Summary

Jack Napier plans to take over Carl Grissom's crime syndicate.
But Carl Grissom has other plans, like luring Napier into a trap and getting him killed.
That plan backfires when Napier falls into a vat of acid and is reborn as Joker.
Joker kills Napier and soon begins terrorizing Gotham City.
He poisons Gotham's cosmetics supply, but is foiled by Batman.
He tries to kidnap Vicki Vale, but is foiled by Batman.
He attempts to gas half the city, but is foiled by Batman.
Finally, he tries kidnapping Vicki again, but is foiled by Batman.
That last time, he's so foiled that he falls to his death. The joke's on him.
