Capitalists are who make the world of Das Kapital go. First, Marx argues that the economic base of society determines its social, legal, and intellectual life, so that puts capitalists behind the wheel right there. Second, capitalists undertaking the M-C-M' process, undergoing the quest for surplus-value, keep the economy going. Marx might not like capitalists, but they get the title of the book, and they make the story move.
