From the Earth to the Moon is sci-fi novel about a mission to the moon—not to be confused with the HBO miniseries of the same name.
This is pure fiction, featuring intrepid astronauts launching themselves out of a cannon in order to reach their lunar destination. It might not be the prettiest technique in the world, but it sure as heck will get the job done. And like the title promises, the entire story is about these guys trying to get from Earth… to the Moon.
