The Graveyard Book Trivia

Brain Snacks: Tasty Tidbits of Knowledge

Neil Gaiman started cursing like a sailor when he found out he won the impressive Hugo Award in 2002 for his novel American Gods. He refrained cursing when he won the Newbery, but we imagine it was quite hard for him (source).

Neil Gaiman has a TV series in the works, which is based on his comic book series The Sandman. As the title suggests, The Sandman is all about dreams (source).

The little seed that became The Graveyard Book was planted when Neil Gaiman watched his baby son riding a tricycle through a graveyard. When the novel was published, that baby son was a man in his early twenties (probably no longer riding a tricycle). So if you have a good idea, don’t let it go – let it grow (source).
