Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!: The Storm
Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!: The Storm
Is the wind picking up…or is King George III talking?
Just kidding. Henry refers to the build-up to the coming war as a storm. It ain't original, but it definitely packs a punch.
Sir, we have done everything that could be done, to avert the storm which is now coming on. (39)
He continues,
The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! (68)
He's not referring to a literal gale, but to the winds of war. Better put on your poncho and board up the windows, though, just to be safe.
