Time for a throwback.

GW's Farewell Address is a long goodbye to Congress and the American people with a lot of good stuff. But on the topic of foreign policy, Washington is 100% against Truman.

Basically: George says to avoid entangling alliances at all costs in order to protect ourselves. And then, like a hundred and fifty years later, Harry comes along and says to make a lot of alliances, also to protect ourselves. Hmm…
