• 1.1 Barabas and his fellow Jews are summoned before Ferneze and the Knights of Malta
• 1.2 Ferneze serves the Jews with his convert-or-give-up-your-wealth deal, and Barabas gets conned into giving up all he has.
• 1.2 Barabas orders Abigail to pretend to be a nun so she can recover a stash of gold hidden in his old house.
• 2.1 Abigail successfully finds the gold and hands it off to Barabas.
• 2.3 Barabas scurries off to the slave market, where he both Ithamore and arranges separately with Lodowick and Mathias to hook them each up with Abigail later.
• 2.3. Once Mathias and Lodowick both think that they're engaged to Abigail, Barabas has Ithamore send a faked letter that arranges a duel between the two.
• 3.2. Barabas watches as Mathias and Lodowick kill each other in the duel he's set up. Sweet!
• 3.4 Having received news of Abigail's conversion to Christianity, Barabas promises to murder her. He's as good as his word, arranging with Ithamore to have her entire nunnery poisoned.
• 3.4 After disinheriting Abigail, Barabas promises to adopt Ithamore as his heir, although he is obvs not going to do that.
• 4.1 Cornered by Jacomo and Bernadine, Barabas offers to convert to Christianity.
• 4.1 He and Ithamore strangle Bernadine, and then trick Jacomo into thinking he's done it.
• 4.2 Ithamore begins blackmailing Barabas, thanks to a little manipulation by local prostitute Bellamira. 
• 4.4 Fed up with Ithamore's extortion, Barabas sneaks into Bellamira's house in disguise and hands off a bouquet of poisoned flowers, intending to kill her, Pilia-Borza and Ithamore.
• 5.1 Ithamore and his new friends tell Ferneze that Barabas is a murderer. Ferneze throws them all in prison, for good measure. 
• 5.1 Barabas drinks a potion that makes him look dead, and Ferneze throws his body over the walls of Malta.
• 5.1 He wakes up and runs into Calymath, who agrees to make Barabas Governor if he helps him invade Malta.
• 5.2 The Turks overrun Malta, and Barabas is named Governor.
• 5.2 With Ferneze's cooperation, he starts preparing a plot to destroy the Turkish army.
• 5.5 Everything for Barabas's plot against the Turks is in place. And then! At the last moment, Ferneze betrays Barabas and Barabas is killed in the trap he prepared for Calymath. Order: restored.
