Exactly how steamy is this story?

There's no sexytime at all in A Monster Calls, with one very tame exception: in the monster's first story, the prince and his girlfriend, who have vowed to remain virgins until marriage, don't manage to remain virgins. It's not graphic at all; it simply says "their passions got the better of them" (8.30). This may be one of the saddest books ever written, but it's definitely not the steamiest.
