Exactly how steamy is this story?
PG
There isn't too much steam in this novel. In fact, there are only two kisses in the entire book. One given by Hugh Whitbread to an unwilling Sally Seton, and the other given by Sally to Clarissa (which turns out to be the most exquisite moment of Clarissa’s life). We didn't want to slap Mrs Dalloway with a G rating, though, because sex is mentioned (even if it's not shown). For instance, we learn that Clarissa's sex life with Richard has never been much and we know that Sally ran around naked back in the day. Mrs Dalloway may not be super sexy, but it's no Disney movie either.
