Captain Tilney arrives in Bath and quickly starts pursuing Isabella in spite of her engagement.
The Captain decides not to accompany his siblings, his father, and Catherine back to Northanger Abbey.
James Morland writes that his engagement is over and that he believes the Captain will marry Isabella.
