Exactly how steamy is this story?
PG
Yes, this novel briefly mentions the thought of Eugene seducing Lizzie Hexam and then refusing to marry her. But it's buried under so many layers of proper Victorian language that you'd have to dig for half a day to see even the slightest trace of steam. For the most part, this book is as clean as it gets—you know, apart from all the murder, taxidermy, and filthy, filthy double-dealing.
