Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis)’s Timeline and Summary
- A very young Butch meets with Captain Koons, who tells him about the legacy of the gold watch, including the time spent in the prisoner of war camp where Koons met his father.
- Butch takes the watch even though he's learned it's spent a total of 7 years inside someone's butt.
- Fast forward maybe twenty-five years or so and Butch is in Marsellus' bar making a deal with him about throwing his next boxing match.
- But Butch doesn't throw it. He KOs his opponent before making a quick escape into a waiting taxi.
- He talks to the taxi driver about what if feels like to kill someone. The boxer he KOd died.
- He then calls a friend of his who'd collected bets he placed on Butch.
- Then it's off to a motel where his girl, Fabienne, is waiting for him, getting ready to leave town together.
- They talk and make love and it's happy until Butch wakes up in the morning and realizes she forgot his watch.
- He gets mad and throws a TV.
- Then he sneaks back into his apartment where he toasts some Toaster Pastries, and kills Vincent, who's been staking out his apartment.
- On his way to the motel he runs into Marsellus…and also another car.
- He's bleeding a bit and his leg is hurt but he runs for his life into a pawn shop where he disarms Marsellus but is then knocked out by the shop owner.
- He wakes up tied to a chair and watches Zed and Maynard take Marsellus into the other room and rape him.
- He escapes his bonds and almost leaves when he thinks twice and goes back in to save Marsellus.
- Marsellus calls them even…kinda, so Butch takes Zed's motorcycle (sorry…chopper), grabs Fabienne, and hits the road.
