Bet you saw this one coming: his name is in the title. Samson is so clearly the central figure of this story since we encounter every single other character only in relation to Samson. And when these characters do come to pay Samson a visit, guess what they're all talking about? You got it: Samson. In fact, the whole poem really seems to have one, primary concern that keeps it moving forward and that's trying to evaluate Samson's current situation and compare it to his past.
