Waltz Time
- It's the final gala dinner and it's a fancy affair. The Duchess congratulates the Cranston sister mice on a job well done—they managed to get their humans married off in style.
- The Duchess also has news about Lord Sandown's nanny: she's fired for good. Helena is happy to hear it, plus it gives her a chance to brag about "my human" (14.13) to her sisters.
- Now here's the really big news that the Duchess has: she wants Helena to become her Assistant Mouse-in-Waiting to Princess Louise. Helena would get to live at Buckingham Palace and everything.
- After dinner, the dancing starts—mice dancing, that is. The Lord Peter mouse shows up and asks Beatrice to go for a whirl, and they dance the prettiest dance you ever did see.
- As the dancing goes on, Helena chats with the Duchess and tells her that she'll take the job, but only if her sister, Beatrice, can have a palace wedding. The Duchess is shocked, but agrees.
