Govinda

Govinda’s path to enlightenment is radically different from Siddhartha's, which show us that different means can lead to the same ends. While Siddhartha is independent and free-thinking, Govinda is always a follower. His presence in the novel helps us understand that the desire for enlightenment is more important than the particular method used to attain it.
