- The next morning Deanna calls Jason. She's decided to tell Lee they kissed.
- Jason's not thrilled, of course, since he wants to keep his girlfriend—he tells Deanna it feels like the kiss never happened.
- Deanna cleans her room, then goes to the kitchen where Stacy is feeding April.
- She tells Stacy she wants to give her and Darren all the money she makes from her summer job so they can move out.
- Stacy says no way—Darren would never go for it.
- Later that night, Darren, Stacy, and Deanna make dinner for the whole family; Mom comes home from work and is surprised but happy.
- Dad comes home from work and is totally baffled, but he sits down at the table and eats dinner with everybody without a word.
- That night Deanna snuggles with her mom on the couch for the first time in a long time, and her mom strokes her hair while they watch David Letterman in silence.
