• 1.1.1: Kate yells at Baptista for treating her like a prostitute and subjecting her to ridicule when he discusses the possibility of her marriage. When Hortensio insults Kate, she threatens to bash him over the head with a stool and bloody his face. She then turns her wrath toward her little sis, calling Bianca a spoiled brat.
• 2.1.1: Kate ties up Bianca and refuses to unbind her until her sister dishes about her many boyfriends. Bianca refuses to reveal her favorite boyfriend, so Kate calls her a "minion" (a skank) and smacks Bianca upside the head. When their dad walks in and catches his oldest daughter beating up on Bianca, he scolds Kate, who complains that Baptista loves Bianca the most. She also worries about being an old maid before running off to cry into her pillow.
• 2.1: Off-stage, Kate cracks a lute over Hortensio's head when he tries to teach her about "finger placement" on a lute.
• 2.1.7: Kate meets Petruchio for the first time and the pair go at it immediately, hurling clever insults and engaging in a verbal battle of wits. Kate holds her own until Petruchio turns each mini-battle into a dirty joke. She slaps him and they argue some more until Kate learns that they are to be wed.
• 2.1.35: She yells at Baptista for agreeing to let her marry Petruchio, but she's later silent when Petruchio lies and says Kate wants to marry him.
• 3.2.1: Kate says she's totally mad about being forced to marry Petruchio, who is very late for their wedding. She worries that she will be made into a laughing stock and she runs out of the room crying.
• 3.3.1: Gremio tells us that Kate is married off-stage and is embarrassed by Petruchio's behavior during the ceremony.
• 3.3.2: Kate begs Petruchio to stay when he announces they will not attend their wedding reception, but he insists and she is carried off to Petruchio's country house.
• 4.1.1: Grumio describes Kate's trip from Padua to Petruchio's place. She fell off her horse, landed in the mud, and prayed when Petruchio beat his servant instead of helping her.
• 4.1.1: Kate arrives with Petruchio at the country house and tries to be a peace-maker when Petruchio abuses the servants. She goes to bed hungry because Petruchio pretends that dinner has been charred and is inedible.
• 4.3.1: Kat complains to Grumio that Petruchio has been starving her and depriving her of sleep while pretending to look out for her. She begs for food but is taunted and given mustard to eat, so she beats Grumio.
• 4.3.7: Kate argues with Kate over what she will wear to Bianca's wedding and refuses to be silent, but Petruchio says she will wear old rags to Bianca's wedding.
• 4.3.11: Kate argues with Petruchio about the time – Petruchio wins even though he is wrong.
• 4.4.1: On the road to Padua, Kate argues with Petruchio when he refers to the sun as the moon. Hortensio advises her to go along with Petruchio's little game and she does, saying the sun is the moon or the sun, whatever Petruchio wants it to be. Then, she plays along when Petruchio pretends an old man is a young girl.
• 5.1.1: Kate and Petruchio watch events unfold as Lucentio's scheme is revealed and the true identities of Lucentio and his pals are revealed. She makes out with Petruchio in public even though she is embarrassed about it.
• 5.2.1: At the banquet, Kate argues with the Widow.
• 5.2.5: She comes running to Petruchio when he calls for her, throws off her hat when he says it's ugly, and then proceeds to deliver a lengthy speech about a woman's duty to "obey" her husband. Kate and Petruchio then kiss and run off to bed.
