There are really only two factors at play here: is the bar doing well? Are you doing well behind the bar?
"Well" is defined as flow, as in how much booze is flowing. If you're fast on your feet, it'll show over the course of an evening. When a bar manager reviews the receipts and realizes your turnover is twice as fast as the last guy, she's going to keep you around.
