Stress

Most of the stress a butcher faces is due to one of two things: ensuring that their selections are safe for customers, and handling the demand when there's a rush at the deli counter. For those working in meat processing facilities, the latter won't be an issue. However, the need to meet high quality standards will more than make up for it.

The nice part about this work is that you're not likely to take any of your stress home. You'll leave the day's worries in the case next to the sausages; and even if you do have a lingering concern about whether or not you spent enough time inspecting that ground chuck, you'll be so tired from being on your feet all day that you'll still sleep like a baby.
