One of the best things about being a cardiologist is you'll never have to worry about being stalked by the paparazzi. No one will be following you around all day, taking pictures, and making snarky comments about that peanut butter fudge ripple ice cream cone that you're trying to enjoy.
The glory in being a cardiologist is in knowing you're helping people live longer, stronger, healthier lives. You don't need to win a Pacey—a plastic heart mounted on an ornate base and spray-painted gold—to know you're making a positive difference. The actual cardiology fellowship and scholarship awards (not the one we just made up) were enough to make you feel special back in college.
All you need is to see a patient improving during a check-up or power-walking at the hospital's wellness center to feel accomplished.
