Glory
It's possible to know glory as a rancher, especially if you can hang on to the back of a bull for longer than the next cowboy. However, aside from the occasional (poorly thought-out) bull riding experience, the most glorious glory achieved as a rancher will likely come from nurturing the future ranchers of America.
County and state rodeos give kids who are interested in agribusiness a chance to raise and show their own cows, pigs, goats, and lambs, which are then bid on by an adoring public.
The money earned by junior champions for their prize animals can be incredible. The National Western Stock Show in Denver has received winning bids over $100,000. Sadly, though, there's an age requirement, so if you can't reach this glorious plateau, maybe one day your kids will.
