Generally, you're working for a company that pretty much tells you what to do. And you do it, because you need to put food in your kids' mouths. (All eight of them, remember.) If you make some brilliant discovery or advancement, you'll feel powerful, but as we mentioned—unless you're going it alone, you're gonna have to hand over the scepter of power to your superiors.
