Even though a nursery needs business to survive, most retail nursery workers probably prefer the early morning when customer turnover is slow. Working with plants is much more fun than working with nasty customers. Most of the time, it's even more fun than working with not-so-nasty customers.

There's not much glory to be had in the running of a retail nursery. Unless, that is, you derive pleasure from knowing that more plants are in more homes, sprucing up the decorations and livening up the room or garden. Of course, that may be exactly what you're hoping for as a nurseryman; if that's the case, you've got glory aplenty. So...we hope that works out for you.
