Stress
IT management isn't stressful, until it is.
For example, say you're responsible for all of the computers that run the operations at one of the largest oil refineries in the United States. You're a busy person; you've got a lot to do; a cold, umbrella-graced beverage probably looks really welcome at the end of a long day.
But true stress occurs when a Category 5 hurricane is coming right for your refinery, and you've got a very short period of time, not only to make sure that all of the technology is locked down and backed up, but to evacuate your family out of the storm's path.
Because you're amazing at your job, of course, you have no trouble executing the emergency plans you designed for this exact occasion and then riding out the hurricane at your sister-in-law's place three hundred miles to the north, where you self-medicate with ice cream and hope your niece's cats don't eat your kids' hamsters.
