Fame
Most housekeepers aren't after fame. Okay, we can't say that unequivocally—maybe someone who cleans for a movie star, model, or music mogul might be chasing the spotlight a bit. But then again, they probably also have to sign non-disclosure agreements. It's obviously important for huge celebrities to maintain their carefully crafted public image.
Housekeeper fame is more the stuff of local legend. As in, when you're really good at what you do, your employers will brag about your skills and make those you don't clean for green with envy. Good housekeepers are hard to find.
When you're a great housekeeper, you'll have people on a waiting list for your services. And for those of you working on business degrees, situations like that mean supply and demand are in effect—you can charge more if your services are in high demand.
That's really the best kind of fame, don't you think?
