Fame

Let's face it: You're in a behind-the-scenes, be-as-invisible-as-possible type of role here. You can do a lot to make a mediocre album great and you may be the reason they ever let Bon Jovi onstage in the first place, but that doesn't mean the people who like your music discoveries are going to know anything about you.

You're in the credits. And, if you've ever watched a movie, those credits can roll for up to twenty minutes. You could be the most important name in there, but you're still in that sea of names.

Your fame may not necessarily be on par with the artists you discover—you may not have all those everyday people jumping at you in the streets trying to get an autograph or a piece of your hair—but you will be well-known and respected within the music industry.

The music industry needs you and artists are looking for people like you all the time. So, while regular Joes will never see your name, famous Joes could be talking about you all the time. And the celebrities are the people who really matter.
