Glory
Oceanographers may develop a sense of glory as they strike out into the salty depths to conduct research which will benefit humankind. Glory can come from proving a radical hypothesis through years of research and collecting data. It can come from developing new conservation techniques which will allow future generations to see dolphins play in the waves.
It can also come from building up your sea legs enough so you only vomit every couple of days. #SmallVictories.
