20-Year Prospect
Who knows, maybe we'll come up with a better way to find out if people are telling the truth. Or maybe one of the upgrades of the Apple watch will be a built-in lie detector—but it's highly unlikely.
While there's always going to be naysayers who doubt the effectiveness of the polygraph, the CIA and FBI are big fans of the process. Unless they disband in the next twenty years, there will still be people running the polygraph, studying facial expressions, and measuring heart rate and sweat.
So if you want to do this job, don't sweat your prospects. Polygraph examiners will still be around.
