You finally cobble together enough money from birthday checks from your grandparents (GameStop even gave you $4.39 for your old Gameboy Color and all your games) to get what you need to set up a legit stream and start making money from your love of Dota. Too bad you're terrible at it. Nobody shows up. At least you have some nice quality headphones now.

Seasoned Streamer. Salary: $60,000 

You manage to convince your parents to let you take a gap year after you graduate high school to pursue your dream to be a professional gamer. You manage to score a decent number of paid subscribers to your Twitch channel, and even got your Uncle's plumbing company on as a "corporate sponsor." Eventually, though, the public decides instead of calling you TheDarkAveng3r, to call you TheCrackAveng3r. Oh well, better just roll with it.

l33t. Salary: $70,000 

You have a successful stream on Twitch and corporate sponsors worth over $50,000 a year. You're respected and well-known in the gaming industry and even have a small fan base. This success attracts one of the top teams around the world, and it recruits you. Your friends and family are so proud of you. Sadly, you're replaced eight weeks later by a fifteen-year-old wonder-kid from South Korea. Oh well, maybe you can get a job commentating esports as a caster.

Pro Gamer. Salary: $1,000,000 

You're on the cover of every gaming magazine around as the best of the best. You have sponsorships, streams, and salaries that, combined with all your prize money, make you a millionaire. You're living the high life, at the top of your game and you win every round you play. You hang out with top celebrities and all gamers look up to your awesomeness. You're king of the world.
