20-Year Prospect
Go ahead and imagine celebrating Independence Day without fireworks. You can't, can you? That would be like Christmas without Santa Claus or Halloween without the sugar coma. As long as there are important things to celebrate (Kim and Kanye having another baby, for instance), there will be a need for people who can build and run gorgeous displays safely and artistically.
Of course, that doesn't mean everything will always be sunshine and lollipops. Whenever towns run low on cash, fireworks are often some of the first things to get cut. But fireworks have been a thing for over 1,000 years, so we think they'll do just fine for the next twenty.
