Glory
It's pretty glorious just to graduate and become a board-certified radiologist. Your self-esteem will be high—we promise—and your mother will brag about you, and highly eligible romantic partners will be impressed by your hard-earned skillset.
To pile on more glory, you could have a test or procedure or discovery named after you. Or you could be an expert witness in a high-profile court case. Or you could be the go-to consultant in your specialty. The list goes on and on.
Of course, the biggest reason for glory is the one that probably made you sign up in the first place: you save lives. Not just the lives of your patients, but the lives of anyone who suffers from something invisible to the human eye—something you have the power to bring to light.
