Glory
While the gamblers may be having the time of/worst day of their lives, you're really just there to collect a paycheck. Occasionally someone will make a fortune while sitting at your table (so you may bear witness to the changing of someone else's life), but it's not like you really had anything to do with it.
Just as often, you'll be sitting there while some overconfident stock broker loses his entire life savings on a hand he never should've stayed with in the first place. There's certainly no glory in that—unless he was a jerk, of course.
