Power

Physical power? Sure, you got that. You have enough power to (fake) throw your (fake) opponent against a (fake...wait no this one is real) padded wall. Your Gerard Butler/Spartan battle roar can bring an entire stadium to its feet cheering. Or booing, if you're the heel.

Herculean strength and bulging thigh muscles aside, though...professional wrestlers have less power than you may think. You're at the mercy of your booker, your promoter, your agent, your WWE contract, and the WWE creative team, all of whom write the script you're acting in. Think less Hercules with the superhuman strength, and more Hercules at Disneyland Park in a hot, sweaty costume forced to perform for your bosses at relatively low wages.

Looking for real power and wealth? (The two often seem to go together.) Take a cue from Vince McMahon, the owner of the WWE empire. Despite wanting to be both a wrestler and a promoter, ultimately he became a promoter and is now worth $1.2 billion. Trust us, he's the guy calling the shots.
