    For those who just want a true-life story, we have Kaffir Boy, Mark Mathabane's autobiography. Lest kids think we're getting complacent, this is yet another way for them to 'get' the apartheid issue. Once again we see the erosion of human dignity, the horrifying effect of racism and the struggle to keep heads above water when the dominant culture keeps pushing you under.

    Reading about Pink Floyd might seem fluffy, but keep going; there's a reason we're including this link. "Another Brick in the Wall, Park 2" actually was harnessed in South Africa as protest music. It's another example of the ill effects apartheid had on the world.
