What's the difference between a nerd and a geek? Wow, that sounds like the start of a bad joke. To start, the word nerd made its first documented appearance in If I Ran the Zoo. The nerd is one of the many creatures McGrew brings back from Ka-Troo, and the word has had a special place in the English language ever since. Well done, Seuss.

Want to visit McGrew's Zoo? Who wouldn't? Unfortunately, it's a figment of a boy's imagination. But Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, has tried its best to bring said figment into reality. At the theme park, you can visit Seussland, where you'll find an entire section dedicated to the zoo of McGrew. Of course, the one key difference between your imagination and Florida is that you'll have to find a way to get to Florida (unless, of course, you are already there).

Maybe you've heard this one: If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Well, Seuss must have heard it because he took the lesson to heart. His first book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, was reportedly rejected 27 times by publishers. He found a publisher with good-old lucky number 28.
