Character Analysis
Often compared to a beautiful flower, Elizabeth is the beloved daughter of Clarissa and Richard. Both of her parents dote on her, but Elizabeth’s character is only really seen through the perspective of others. She's generally pretty passive, being easily persuaded by her current suitor, Miss Kilman. Elizabeth is a dark "oriental" beauty who attracts both men and women, but she has nothing of her mother’s spunk. She does, however, make the daring move of taking a bus along the Strand, a sketchy neighborhood where her mother would never have gone. Gasp!
